Holiday Treats to Bake in Your RV


The holidays mean lots of goodies and treats. With these simple recipes, turn your RV into a bakery of delectable holiday delights.

We always have something brewing at Pan Pacific RV Center to whet your appetite for a new or used recreational vehicle.

Holiday Treats

Dark Chocolate Cherry Pistachio Granola Bars

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Line a 13 x 9 dish with parchment paper. Coat with nonstick cooking spray.
  • Combine 4 cups rolled oats, 1/2 cup almonds,1/2 teaspoon salt, 1 teaspoon cinnamon, and 1 cup each pistachios and dried cherries.
  • Add 1/2 cup each brown sugar, coconut oil, honey, and nut butter in a saucepan. Cook over medium heat, stirring continuously, until thoroughly combined.
  • Pour the sweet mixture over the oat mixture and stir until combined. Add 1/2 cup  dark chocolate chunks.
  • Pour into prepared baking dish using a separate piece of parchment paper to press the mixture into place.
  • Bake for 20 to 25 minutes.
  • Allow to cool before cutting.
  • Wrap bars in parchment paper and place in an airtight container for storage.

Mint Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • Mix a 1 lb 1.4 ounce pouch of sugar cookie mix with 1/2 cup softened butter or margarine, 1/2 teaspoon mint extract, 1 egg, and 6 drops of green food coloring in a bowl. Mix until a soft dough forms.
  • Stir in 1 cup semisweet chocolate chips.
  • Drop small spoonfuls of dough 2 inches apart onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
  • Bake 8 to 10 minutes. Allow to cool before removing from pan.
  • Optional: Use red coloring along with semisweet chocolate chips or cherry chips.

Caramel Apple Cider

This delicious beverage goes great with your holiday treats.

To make a 1/2 gallon of caramel apple cider on the stovetop add 1/2 gallon of apple cider and 1 cup caramel sauce to a small saucepan. Heat over medium heat stirring continuously until the caramel sauce is melted and cider is hot. Serve immediately in a mug.

December Events in Sacramento


Once December arrives, it usually means making plans for shopping and traveling to visit friends and family. It can also mean it’s time to take to the highway with friends and family to enjoy the many events scheduled throughout the month. Whatever your reason for traveling, here are a few events you might enjoy along the way.

Sacramento December Events

Magic of the Seasons – located at Cal Expo through January 3, enjoy ice skating, Chinese acrobats, and an ice skating show. This event also features one of the largest displays of festive lantern artwork.

Holiday Ice Rink – through January 18, you can “get your skate on” at the downtown ice rink on The Kay. For more than 20 years, this seasonal favorite lets kids and adults glide their way through a winter wonderland of fun and ice.

7th Annual Macy’s Theatre of Lights – the night will be lit up with the colors and magic of Christmas throughout the month of December at Old Sacramento. The event is free and features performances and an array of audio and visual effects.

PJ Day at the Zoo – this event is perfect for kids. On December 24 from 10 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. its free admission at the Sacramento Zoo’s Christmas Eve pajama party. Kids can dress in their favorite pj’s and spend the day with the animals.

Sacramento State Winter Jazz Festival – if you’re in the mood for smooth jazz, this educational festival won’t disappoint. The fest features The Sacramento Jazz Orchestra along with a variety of young musicians. It’s scheduled for December 12 at Capistrano Hall at Sacramento State University.

The 2016 Jayco Eagle at Pan Pacific RV Center

The new year is approaching fast and it’s the time of the year when new recreational vehicles are being highlighted. This month, the manufacturer of the month is Jayco with its 2016 Eagle fifth wheels. For comfort, convenience, style, and functionality, the Eagle has it all.

Here at Pan Pacific RV Center, we know the ins and outs of our inventory and that includes the 2016 Jayco Eagle. To whet your appetite for something new for the holidays, here is a sampling of the amenities the three featured 2016 Jayco Eagle fifth wheels offer.

Jayco Eagle

These 2016 Jayco Eagle fifth wheels are available in three lengths: 34′ 5″, 35′ 3″ and 38′ 10″.  This allows buyers to choose the size that fits the needs of the travelers whether it’s a single person, couple or family.

The 34′ and 35′ each come with two slides for extra mobility. The 34′ sleeps 6 people and the 35′ sleeps 4.

The 38′ is equipped with 4 slides and sleeps up to 10 people.

Jayco Eagle Features

Jayco Eagle 38′ 10″ – This premier trailer is designed with sturdiness in mind. The trailer has plenty of room in the interior, a cargo carrying capacity of 2,470 lbs., ample fresh, gray, and black water capacity, water heater, LED lighting, hand-glazed cabinetry, queen bed, and bunkhouse sleeping area.

Jayco Eagle 35′ 3″ – This trailer has the same solid structure and water capabilities. Its cargo carrying capacity is 2,355 lbs. It also has a queen bed and features a rear kitchen area.

Jayco Eagle 34′ 5″ – Like the others, you can count on quality construction. The fifth wheel has a queen bed, tri-fold sofa, recliners and a fireplace and entertainment center. All three have a kitchen and bath. The 35′ and 38′ also have a dining area.
